Gardener Douglas 427 Cobra

The world-famous Shelby Cobra 427 now with an estimated value of $1.5 million USD. The new car was designed in cooperation with Ford in Detroit. A new chassis was built using 4 in (101.6 mm) main chassis tubes, up from 3 in (76.2 mm) and coil spring suspension all around. The new car also had wide fenders and a larger radiator opening.

Some Cobra 427s were actually fitted with Ford's 428 cubic inches (7.01 L) engine, a long stroke, smaller bore, lower cost engine, intended for road use rather than racing. The AC Cobra was a financial failure that led Ford and Carroll Shelby to discontinue importing cars from England in 1967.

This Gardener Douglas 427 Cobra is a replica of the original Shelby Cobra 427, our Gardener Douglas Cobra is fitted with a 5.0 litre Ford V8 Edelbrock 4 barrel carburettor and provides a thrilling driving experience with the perfect sound track of a V8!

Available Saturday to Sunday 9am till 5pm

Option 4: Weekend hire - £689.00 incl. VAT

Available 6pm Friday till 4:30pm Sunday

• Drivers are subject to completing our hire pack
• Drivers must have held a full driving licence for not less than 2 years
• Drivers must be aged 25-70* (*drivers aged 70+ may be able to hire by referral)
• A security deposit will be taken at the time of hire by credit card ONLY – refundable upon return
• Cancellation policy: You must give at least 28 days’ notice of cancellation in writing for which an administration charge of £50 will be incurred. Notice received less than 28 days from date of hire will incur the full hire charge in accordance with the tariff for that vehicle and no refund will be due.
